  • Menulis sebuah program namun tidak ada perubahan di web, ternyata anda menulisnya dengan pena di atas secarik kertas
  • Sadar akan kekeliruan yang anda buat, anda buka editor dan menyalin program yang sudah anda tulis, tapi masih juga tidak ada perubahan di web, ternyata anda lupa menekan save
  • Sadar lagi, anda klik menu file > save dan ctrl+s berkali-kali untuk memastikan, tapi masih tidak ada perubahan, ternyata anda belum me-refresh browser
  • Sadar lagi, anda tekan F5 berkali-kali di browser, tapi tetap saja tidak ada perubahan, ternyata anda belum meng-upload program yang anda tulis
  • Anda buka program FTP client untuk mengupload file yang sudah anda tulis, lihat di browser ternyata belum juga ada perubahan, anda pikir ini pasti gara-gara proxy sialan itu yang meng-cache halaman web
  • Anda menunggu, menunggu dan menunggu sampai tertidur, kemudian terbangung di tengah malam dan mendapati belum juga ada perubahan di web, ternyata anda lupa menekan tombol “upload”
  • Anda menulis di blog tentang kebodohan anda dan berharap ada yang menganggap tulisan anda lucu

Ini bukan yang pertama kali bagi saya, tapi karena kali ini kita hampir tiap hari berkomunikasi lewat Skype , ada hal baru yang mengubah cara kami berkomunikasi. Salah satunya adalah ketika bergurau di Skype.

    Kebiasaan orang Indonesia ketika tertawa dalam chatting adalah menggunakan “he..he..” atau “hi..hi..”. Namun ini jadi tidak benar kalau berbicara dengan orang luar sana. Karena “he” itu bermakna dia (lelaki). Dan “hi” itu biasa digunakan dalam menyapa.

    Ini mungkin terlihat remeh, tapi kalau ditambah dengan bahasa inggris yang pas-pasan (pas bicara pas nggak bisa) dan koneksi internet yang lambat bin snaily , bisa menimbulkan kesalahfahaman yang berakibat fatal.

    Jadi untuk lebih aman dan memang biasa digunakan di luar sana, mulailah membiasakan untuk pakai “ha..ha..”.

    Tapi mesti hati-hati juga, karena “ha..ha..” bisa berarti tertawa karena ada yang lucu, tapi bisa juga berarti ejekan kalau nggak ada yang lucu. Jadi teuteup, kudu able to speak english mate

    It’s the final book. It’s scheduled to be released on July 21st, but i’ve already got the soft copy sent by a friend. Yap, that book.
